Almost all of Pico’s terrain is serviced by two lifts: The Golden Express and Summit Express. No advanced terrain is available from the Golden Express, so when the Summit Express Quad can’t operate for weather or mechanical reasons, the amount of advanced terrain available at Pico Mountain is limited. We understand the impact the Summit lift’s closure can have on your visit. Don’t worry though, Killington Resort and Pico Mountain have the solution – the Summit Guarantee.
In the event the Summit Express Quad is likely to be down for a significant portion of the day, we may determine the Summit Guarantee is in effect. In that case, all Pico Season Passes and Lift Tickets (valid for that day) will be honored at Killington Resort for no additional fee. If the Summit Guarantee is in effect, guests with valid Pico tickets and passes can proceed directly to the lifts at Killington. There is no need to visit a ticket window at either resort to activate your ticket or pass for Killington.
Once the Summit Guarantee is in effect, it remains in effect for the rest of the day, regardless of whether the Summit Express returns to operation.
The decision to put the Summit Guarantee into effect is at the sole discretion of Killington Resort/Pico Mountain and this policy does not serve as a guarantee it will be put into effect every time the Summit Express Quad is down. Regular bus service is available. If a guest is unable to get to Killington, they are ineligible to visit Killington under this policy and no further credit or compensation will be offered.
