- Lesson Meeting Location: Drop Zone yurt located slopeside at Ramshead Lodge
All lessons must be booked online in advance.
Details
This program is open daily from December - April, for first-time skiers and snowboarders only. Youth Learn To Ski/Ride program meets at the Drop Zone yurt located slopeside at Ramshead Base Area. Lessons combine an innovative Woodward progression zone with our specialized ski and snowboard instructors, two covered Progression Carpets and teaching methods specifically designed for kids and you've got a proven learning experience to get kids exploring the mountain in no time.
Lunch is included with the Youth Learn To Ski/Ride program. Please notify us at registration time and lesson check-in if your child has any dietary restrictions. We are able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, nut free, kosher and gluten free options. Please be aware that all of our foods are made in a common kitchen, and cross contamination is a possibility. We encourage families to bring their own meals if they have specific dietary restrictions or needs outside of vegetarian requests.

First time? We've got you covered. It’s never too late to learn to ski or ride. And the Killington Snow Sports School is the place to do it, recognized by the National Ski Area Association with the Conversion Cup, a national commendation for making the greatest strides in converting new skiers and snowboarders into lifelong enthusiasts.
Available daily for first-time skiers and snowboarders only from December 10th through early April. lessons are 2 hours long with a morning and afternoon session available daily
- Morning lessons meet at 9:30 a.m. and end at 11:45 a.m.
- Afternoon lessons meet 12:45 p.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
Learn to Snowboard: We've paired specialized Burton equipment for beginners and dedicated teaching techniques to create a memorable experience that can lead to a lifetime love for snowboarding.
Learn to Ski: With equipment designed specifically for beginners, new skiers gain confidence gliding, controlling speed and stopping on their own.

The best way to share the love for winter sports is to introduce someone to skiing or riding. Register a friend or family member for a Learn to Ski or Ride package, any day during the season, and get a FREE lift ticket for yourself on the same day.
- The offer is only valid when friend/family member is a first time skier or snowboarded ages 7 and older.
- This offer is valid for one 1-day lift ticket. For multi-day Learn To programs, the free lift ticket is only valid on the first day of the program.
- Reservations require at least 2 days in advance; book online.
- Offer cannot be combined with any other offers and discounts.
How to Sell
Free ticket product can be found under KL Lessons>Any KL LTS/LTR product type. Select the comp product and assign it to the guest who referred a friend. Will need RFID purchase.

Prior to 4:00 p.m. two days prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 90% refund or 100% cancellation credit. Prior to 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 100% cancellation credit. No refunds.
After 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson, there are no cancellations or changes permitted since we’ve held that spot from our inventory and have assigned an instructor to teach the lesson. We know that weather and snow conditions vary, but if the resort is open for skiing/riding we will be providing lessons as scheduled and there are no refunds, vouchers, or credits issued due to these events. Can I do a PM lesson on the first day and an AM lesson on the second day?
No, if the first lesson is an afternoon lesson, the second day would have to be as well.
DeleteCan I sign up for additional LTS lessons if I did not originally book a multiday?
Only if it is done in advance. If a guest wants to make this change day-of or after their 1-Day lesson, we will not be able to upgrade them to a multi-day. Refer them to group lessons.
DeleteCan I upgrade to a full mountain ticket after my lesson?
No, we want first-time skiers and riders to stick to safe areas of the mountain after their lesson. They can purchase a full-day lift ticket online for future dates.

Unfortunately, we are no longer offering the promotion where guests get skis to keep after completing their Learn to ski program
