Private Lessons

Reminder
Please do not assign instructors to lessons, instead add notes to the product and contact the private lesson chat you are assigned to (Tickets or Call Center). Just because there are notes on the lesson does not mean any special requests are guaranteed. Please also contact the private lesson chat for both special requests or instructor requests no matter how far in advance.
Day-of sales can be done up to 1 hour before the start time of the lesson (as long as there is inventory). We may make an exception if the guest is accompanied by someone from Snowsports. If booking a lesson close to the start time send a heads up to the private lesson desk via the private lesson chat so they are aware of the new lesson.

- Ages 3+
- Session Options: 1.5-hour, 3 hour or 6 hour sessions (daily)
- Class size: one-on-one or you create your own small group with friends and family.
- Ability: open to all levels of skiing and riding

Lessons meet: slopeside at Snowshed Lodge.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to your lesson. All lessons have a fixed start and end time and times will not be adjusted for early or late arrivals.
All lessons must be booked online in advance to ensure we have an instructor available to suit your needs.
Details
- Private lessons are open to all abilities for both skiing and snowboarding
- First timers can add a Limited Learning Area lift ticket and rentals for just $139.
- Lessons do not include lift ticket, rental equipment, snow sports helmet or lunch.
- Lessons are available from Thanksgiving through mid-April.
- Advanced reservations are strongly recommended.
- Please make sure you are booking the correct start time, location and sport (ski or snowboard).
- All lessons have a fixed start and end time and times will not be adjusted for early or late arrivals.
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your lesson for check-in.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- Please ensure your child has warm, waterproof layers, gloves/mittens and eye protection (sunglasses or goggles).
- Your child (ages 3-17) is required to wear a properly fastened snow sports helmet when participating in a ski or snowboard lesson.
- If your child’s equipment malfunctions, Killington Resort and Pico Mountain staff may select and sign for rentals from our rental shop.
- In the event of your child’s injury or medical emergency, Killington Resort and Pico Mountain staff may contact medical personnel and/or arrange transportation to a medical facility. In case of emergency, we will attempt to reach the emergency contact provided at the time the lesson was purchased.
- Killington Resort and Pico Mountain staff may supervise transport of your child by van and public bus to other locations within the resorts.
Lesson Types
- Skiing, Snowboarding and Telemark Skiing: Whether you’ve had one or one thousand days on snow, any skier or rider can fine tune their turns.
- Freestyle, Moguls and Racing: Our specialized coaches will help hone the skills you’ll use among the gates or on the longest, steepest bump run in the East.
- Park and Pipe: Our snow sports instructors are specifically trained to guide you through the Woodward Mountain Park and to the next level or skiing or riding, whether that's in the progression park zone or The Stash.
- Glades and Natural Woods Areas: See the turns through the trees, discovering more than 745 acres of glades beyond Killington’s designated trails.
- Family Private Lessons: The family that skis and rides together, stays together. We'll develop skills and explore new terrain while including the whole family.

How to Sell
Required Data Section
The Required Data section within the Private Lesson product is only there for online purchases. Sales done over the phone/in person may skip this section when booking a Private Lesson.
- Make sure the product date is set for the correct day.
- In the private lesson category, select the appropriate lesson type (ski/snowboard).
- Convey all timing/pricing options so the guest can decide which lesson type works best for them.
- Before continuing, check the inventory pool to ensure we have enough instructors for that lesson.
- Assign the guest to the lesson. (Only one guest is required to assign, this should be the primary on the order with an email or the person taking the lesson with an email address associated).
- In the "Private Lesson" section make sure the inventory pool is selected for the correct date. (click ok)
- Make sure all drop-downs are filled in.
- Under Level. leave it as unknown, we will collect the level in the notes
- The start time should match the time the product is listed.
- Assignment should be set to "assignment"
- The total number of students needs to be accurate to how many people will be in this lesson (no more than the length allows).
- In the notes section below the start location, type in the guest ability level, the best phone number to reach them at and any other notes such as instructor request and goals for the lesson

Prior to 4:00 p.m. two days prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 90% refund or 100% cancellation credit. Prior to 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 100% cancellation credit.
No refunds. After 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson, there are no cancellations or changes permitted since we’ve held that spot from our inventory and have assigned an instructor to teach the lesson. We know that weather and snow conditions vary, but if the resort is open for skiing/riding we will be providing lessons as scheduled and there are no refunds, vouchers, or credits issued due to these events.
