Upward & Outward’s focuses on increasing youth access to winter sports through a $60,000 seasonal free lease program for Vermont Student Pass holders in Windsor and Rutland Counties. For the 2025/26 winter season, Killington and Pico will fully cover the cost of ski or snowboard equipment leases through participating local shops for over 300 children ages 11 & under.

Qualifying Participants (must fall under all 3 requirements): 

• Children 11 or younger (as of January 31, 2026)
• Residents of Rutland or Windsor County
• Have a W2526 Community Local School K–6, VT Student Pass at Killington or Pico

Program Details

• Qualifying families will receive a coupon and unique code via email (each individual eligible passholder will receive their own code.)
• Families must present the coupon , code and pass confirmation email at a participating rental shop to receive a fully covered seasonal ski or snowboard lease.
• If a family has already purchased rentals, they may receive a refund by presenting the coupon and code. (All participating shops have agreed to this.)
• Once a code is redeemed, the shop will update a shared tracking spreadsheet to prevent misuse of the program.(spread sheet coming soon)
• This is an ongoing program and ends on January 31,2026 (which is when the coupon expires)
• As additional families purchase qualifying passes, they will receive the same email and access to the lease benefit. We will continue to update this excel document with who has been assigned which codes.
• Emails will be sent out to any who qualify in a bulk batch on 11/21/25, and then will be sent 1-2 days after purchases thereafter.
