Details

Stored value (beast bucks) was once used to add money onto a guest's account so they could use it at various locations around the resort by simply tapping their pass at the time of purchase. However, we have moved away from using this feature since the 20/21 winter season when food and beverage adopted the square credit card processing system. Now, if a guest calls requesting to add money (stored value) to their account, most likely we will direct them to purchase products online directly.

If a guest has stored value on their account, it is still eligible for use at any of our ticket or retail locations, but will be unable to use it for food and beverage. Guests will also be unable to use stored value online through our e-store. If they would like to use their stored value on Killington pre-purchase products they can call central reservations for assistance.

How to check stored value balance

To check a guest's stored value on their account you will go to Customer Manager > History Profiles > Stored Value History. The most recent balance will be displayed at the top with information regarding the updated date and the last agent who updated the amount on file.

How to redeem stored value

Once products have been added to an order or a sale you can use a person's stored value by selecting Payment>Stored Value>Swipe/Scan or Look up Customer>Authorize>Ok. Any available balance will be applied to the sale. If you wish to only use a portion of the stored value on an account you will want to enter the specific amount within the payment amount box prior to applying the stored value payment type. If the amount of the total is less than the amount of stored value, the remaining balance will remain on a person's account.

How to refund stored value

Locate and make note of the remaining balance of a guests stored value in customer manager>history profiles> stored value history. Please copy guest's IP as well.

  1. In sales transaction, under payments select the stored value payment option by clicking on it once.
  2. Once highlighted in the "Payment Amount" box enter the amount of the stored value or any number higher than the balance. (ex. Remaining balance is $89, you can enter an amount of $100).
  3. Click "apply" and then ensure that the correct customer is attached to the stored value payment box. If they are not attached you may select "lookup customer" and search by the copied IP.
  4. Authorize the amount you are charging.
  5. The stored value will apply as a payment to the transaction.
  6. Now in the payment tab, you should see a negative value that you can apply to the guest's credit card and it will refund the amount.
