Migrating Vouchers
Moving Cancellation Credits, Beast Bucks from Old RTP to Central RTP
If a guest has credit in our old version of RTP but it does not exist in Central RTP or has a gift card, follow these steps to move the funds into Central so you can process the sale. This applies to Cancellation Credit Vouchers and Stored Value (Beast Bucks) issued AFTER the initial data load in mid-Marc
BEFORE TAKING ANY STEPS – VERIFY THE CUSTOMER RECORD IN RTP CENTRAL DOES NOT ALREADY HAVE STORED VALUE OR CANCELLATION CREDITS.
Step 1: Redeem Value in old RTP
- In “Killington – Guest Services” > “Courtesy Voucher – Lift Credit” choose from the “Voucher value Migration” (Cancellation Credits, Lift Delay Credits, etc.) or “Stored Value Migration”(Beast Bucks & Gift Cards) products.
- Set the amount equal to the amount you need in Central RTP. For example, if the customer has $500 in credit but only wants to use $300 of it towards a season pass, only move the $300 and leave the remaining in the current version of RTP.
- Apply the payment for the product you’ve added by redeeming the voucher or using the Beast Bucks or Gift Card payment Types. Complete the transaction.
Step 2: Load the value into Central RTP as a Stored Value or a Voucher
- In “Other Products” > “Deposit/Cancellation Products” choose from the Voucher Value or Stored Value Migration product (choose whichever one you used for the step above)
- Set the Type = Return and set the amount to the same amount as in the step above.
- For a voucher:
- Sell the Voucher Credit-Cancellation Credit OPEN under KL Guest Services and set the correct amount to migrate to balance out the transaction.
- Select the voucher product tab and change the expiration date to 54 weeks from the date the voucher was originally issued.
- For Stored Value:
- Go to payments and choose the Stored Value payment type to load this amount as stored value.
Example
This customer has $995.34 in Cancellation Credit and wants to use the full amount towards his 22/23 season pass.
