Updated RFID Pricing
We are going to be updating the cost of an RFID card to $6+tax effective for purchases made on or after Tuesday, April 30. This date is to align with summer products going on sale that day. This will be the same for Winter as well.
RFID cards associated with free or comp products will also be priced at $0 (ex. VMBA, MTB BAF, etc.)
RFID Details
- RFID Card is like a credit card. You have an account and if you lose your credit card you get a new one. Your account does not change. Anything you purchase is on your account, not the card.
- Must be linked to a guest's account. The card must display the guest's name. If the card is not linked to a customer, it will not scan valid since it points to nothing!
- When a new RFID card is printed, any previous cards will become inactive and unavailable for use unless reactivated.
- Guests who have purchased day tickets must pay a $6+tax fee for their RFID card. They do not have to pay the fee if they come to the ticket window with old RFID media and need the new media.
- Season pass holders are not required to pay the $6+tax fee no matter the situation.

Is the RFID card active?
Reactivate the RFID through customer manager. See below in the article on how to reactivate.
Is the RFID linked to a guest?
Provide a new RFID card attached to the correct guest profile.
Does the customer have access loaded on their account?

Check that the ticket/pass on their account is not hotlisted and/or set for the correct date. Investigate and if you cannot figure out a solution contact manager or supervisor.
How do I reactivate an inactive RFID?
If you have the physical card:
- Go to Customer Manager
- Access/Pass Media Profiles
- Pass Media Profiles
- Locate inactive card (An easy way to find this is by scanning the physical card after selecting pass media code. It will bring up the correct card if it is attached to the profile.)
- Check the active box
- Leave a comment ("card reactivated")
- Add
- Update
If you do not have the card:
- Go to Customer Manager
- Access/Pass Media Profiles
- Axess Profile
- Get the pass number from the guest (long number usually starting in 1614) and locate within the list of Axess Profiles
- Select the bolded Axess Profile
- Go to the "Pass Media Information" tab and make note of the Pass Media Code
- Move to Pass Media Profile and unselect the "show active" box at the top of the screen to view all Pass Media Profiles
- Locate the Pass Media Code that you made note of previously and select the line item
- Check the active box, add a comment noting the reactivation, "add" and "update".
How do I see if an RFID is active?
- You can view pass media/RFID information through the Pass Media Profile in customer manager.
- To see if an RFID is active select the Pass Media Code circle at the top of the page and enter the 16-digit code on the back of the guests' RFID card.
- If the RFID is attached to their customer profile it will pull up the card's information regarding its activity.
- If you select where the line item is bolded, it will bring up more specific information regarding the card. Here you may select or deselect the active checkbox to change whether or not the RFID will scan at the lift.
- You can also see any active or past hotlists on the RFID card. It will explain the reason behind the hotlist and the effective and expiration date of the hotlist.
- If you need to ADD a hotlist hit the hotlist dropdown and change to the accurate hotlist reason. Leave a comment, set the effective and expiration date, add, and update. If you need to REMOVE a hotlist, hit the hotlist dropdown and change to "active pass". Leave a comment, set the effective and expiration date, add, and update.
- If the RFID is active and ready to scan, the bar at the top should be highlighted in green and read "Active Pre-Loaded Access Products"
